Waterbury, Vermont Early Spring Real Estate Update 2015

After an early March ski getaway to Snowbird Resort in Utah (with an unplanned detour to Philadelphia - don't ask!) I am back in the office where we are having one our busiest springs in recent memory. And so is Waterbury - it's wonderful to see our little village so alive, especially in the evenings. All the local eateries seem to be doing a great business, and this week we welcome back to town Ocha Thai, open for sit-down and take-out in the Colbyville building on Rt 100.

Last weekend my women's hockey team, the Waterbury Wicked, competed in a two-day tournament up in Stowe at the new Stowe Arena. While we weren't exactly the best team there we finished strong on Sunday with a shootout win over a team from Stanstead QC, and as always we had a great time.

I am also following with interest the deliberations of our legislature, particularly in the area of education and property tax reform. I'll be posting any developments in a future blog, so stay tuned.

The area real estate market is also remarkably strong for this time of year. I'd like to remind you of a couple of Duxbury listings that occasionally get overlooked because they're down a little South, but please keep in mind they are just minutes outside of downtown Waterbury, and a bit closer even to the ski hills at Sugarbush and Mad River Glen. Dowsville Road offers 30 acres of privacy and outdoor fun, and 1257 Route 100 in Duxbury is a great value for a fun, old farmhouse.

Be back in touch soon!!
