Waterbury Vermont Mid-Winter Update

Greetings from Waterbrrry!  We are having an epic winter here, just like the good old days. Snow is plentiful and winter recreation is in full swing. Kudos to the organizers of the just concluded Waterbury Winterfest for a great week of winter activity - skiing, snowshoeing, broom ball, volleyball, ice sculptures, display window contest, just to mention a few.

Congratulations also to the Prohibition Pig brewpub for winning the 2014 RateBeer Best Brewpub Award. I was there earlier this week and was excited to see some new items on the menu. Stop and visit them and check them out.

And speaking of tasting, I just participated in the Keurig Green Mountain Sensory Test Program. KGM is recruiting a group of volunteer local taste testers to evaluate potential new products. My visit today was the taste screening - I'll hear in a few weeks if I'll be a regular tester!

Moving on to business, although January was National Radon Action Month, it is definitely not too late to have your home tested for radon. While a short-term test is available, professionals (including me) highly recommend the long-term (6 month) test as a more accurate measure of the radon level in your home. Test kits are available for FREE from the Department of Health - see their radon web page: http://healthvermont.gov/enviro/rad/Radon.aspx.

Finally, I have a recent price reduction that I'd love to share with you. 246 Spruce Street in Duxbury is now $479,000. This custom built, 5000 square foot home was built with special details you can't find in any other home in this price range today...incredible appliances, cabinetry, hardware and an interior and exterior stone fireplace. Please call today for more details or to schedule a showing!
