Stick Season in Waterbury

Stick seasonStick season has arrived and I am so happy! I know, we need the tourism dollars here and we have to be nice to all of those wonderful people, but what a relief to be able to travel home at the end of the day without sitting still on Route 100 for 20 minutes! And, it's still relatively warm and the weather has been beautiful and I can still bike (with a light if it's evening, of course). For some reason, with the slow down in traffic and activity in town, there has been an increase in real estate activity. Within the last week, I have scheduled 5 listing appointments. That's a huge number for this time of year. So, with any luck, I will have some great new listings to share soon!

2013 FOABC TourneyWith the arrival of stick season also comes the beginning of HOCKEY season! I have started back up with the wonderful ladies of Waterbury Wicked and have decided to join in on practices with another women's team,Evolution. I'm still playing Tuesday mornings with the guys, so all in all, I'm playing three times a week and even subbing Friday nights when I can. The big news here is that the date for the Face Off Against Breast Cancer Hockey Tournament has been scheduled for January 26th, my team has registered and I'm already excited to start fundraising. I will be back in touch with you about that...

SizedI would also like to jog your memory about an amazing piece of land I have listed at the end of Blush Hill Road in Waterbury. It's only a half mile to the boat access and three minutes to the Interstate. It's perfect for someone looking to build that private estate on a lovely piece of property with mountain views, an open, park-like setting and a pond. I just went up to visit with my Seller today and took some beautiful new photos. He had the open area brush-hogged and it looks great. Please check it out and pass it on!

The Bruins Are Here!!

BruinsI just got back from playing with my morning hockey league at the Ice Center in Waterbury, and realized I was playing on the SAME ICE that the Boston Bruins would be playing on in a couple of hours. And, I was showering in the same locker room (almost even more exciting!) As I was driving back from an appointment, their bus went by me, and I could almost smell them. Very exciting for sure. They're in town to do some "team building" work in Stowe and are practicing at our rink. Hopefully they'll be able to stop by the Alchemist Brewery for some four-packs on their way through.

I have a new interesting listing this week in downtown Waterbury. Investors take note ! It's got good, solid rental income and is in excellent condition.

Some other exciting news is that recently I have two listings under deposit in Duxbury, Wescott Road and Route 100. Things are moving and shaking around Duxbury as of late! We like that.

Filomena in my office and I had a successful closing on my listing on Belding Roadin Barre Town as well.

It's been a beautiful couple of weeks, the foliage is in full peak, the mountain biking is awesome, the Bruins are here, and life is good!
